NEET

NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) is a highly competitive medical entrance examination conducted in India. It is the gateway for students seeking admission to undergraduate medical and dental courses in various government and private medical colleges across the country.

What will you learn? and How?

Physics :

This subject deals with the study of matter, energy, and their interactions. Topics covered include Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Optics, Electromagnetism, Modern Physics, etc.

Chemistry :

It is the branch of science that deals with the properties, composition, and behavior of matter. NEET Chemistry is divided into three sections: Physical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, and Organic Chemistry. Physical Chemistry covers topics like Atomic Structure, Chemical Equilibrium, Thermodynamics, etc. Inorganic Chemistry focuses on the properties and behavior of inorganic compounds. Organic Chemistry covers the study of carbon compounds and their reactions.

Biology :

NEET Biology is further divided into two sections: Botany and Zoology. Botany covers topics such as Cell Biology, Plant Physiology, Genetics, Ecology, etc. Zoology deals with Animal Diversity, Structural Organization, Human Physiology, Reproduction, Genetics, etc.

Dedicated and Expert Faculties :

Qualified and experienced faculty members are an essential part of NEET coaching. They guide students through the syllabus, clarify doubts, and provide valuable insights. Good faculty members can effectively explain complex concepts, provide shortcuts and mnemonics, and help students develop a strong foundation in each subject.

Regular Classroom Coaching :

Classroom coaching is a common method used to train students for NEET. It involves attending regular classes where the faculty delivers lectures, conducts discussions, and solves problems. Classroom coaching provides a structured learning environment, fosters peer interaction, and allows students to clear their doubts instantly.

Mock Tests and Practice Papers :

Regular practice is crucial for NEET preparation. we conduct mock tests and provide practice papers that simulate the actual NEET examination. These tests help students assess their strengths and weaknesses, improve time management skills, and familiarize themselves with the exam pattern.

Time Management and Exam Strategy :

NEET is a time-bound examination, and effective time management is crucial. Coaching institutes provide guidance on managing time during the examination, solving questions efficiently, and optimizing performance. They also offer tips and strategies to approach different sections and maximize scores.

NEET Examination & Preparation FAQs

General Exam Information

NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) is the sole national-level medical entrance examination in India for admission to undergraduate medical (MBBS), dental (BDS), and AYUSH courses. It is conducted annually by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

NEET is an offline, pen-and-paper-based test. The exam consists of 180 multiple-choice questions that a candidate must attempt. The subject breakdown is as follows:

  • Physics: 45 questions
  • Chemistry: 45 questions
  • Biology: 90 questions (divided into 45 from Botany and 45 from Zoology)

The total marks are 720, where 4 marks are awarded for every correct answer and 1 mark is deducted for every incorrect answer

As per the latest guidelines from the NMC (National Medical Commission), there is no upper age limit for appearing in the NEET-UG examination, and consequently, there is no restriction on the maximum number of attempts allowed for a student.
Preparation Strategy

NCERT textbooks are the absolute foundation for NEET, especially for Biology and Chemistry, where many questions are framed directly from the text. However, for Physics and Physical Chemistry, while NCERT is essential for theory, you will need reference books and coaching materials to practice a wider variety of numerical problems and MCQ applications.

The syllabus for Class 12 boards and NEET is largely the same, differing only in the exam pattern (subjective vs. objective). Focus on building strong conceptual clarity which helps in both. During the months leading up to the board exams, practice subjective answer writing, but keep taking NEET mock tests on weekends to maintain your MCQ solving speed.

The ideal time to begin dedicated NEET preparation is from Class 11. The NEET syllabus comprises topics from both Class 11 and Class 12. Starting early gives you exactly two years to cover the syllabus comfortably, revise multiple times, and take adequate mock tests.
